LG announces the OLED evo lifestyle TVs, on display at Milan Design Week

LG will present the new ones OLED TV of the collection LG Objet at the Salone dei Tessuti during the Milan Design Week 2022 (7 – 12 June). There are two upcoming series: LG OLED Objet Easel (template 65 Art90) And LG OLED Objet Posé (template LX1). We have already talked about 65Art90 on the occasion of the official announcement dating back to December 2021. It is a 65 “WRGB OLED with resolution Ultra HD and an update rate a 100/120 Hz.

Obviously, aesthetics play a central role: the design was conceived to resemble the easel used to paint or exhibit works of art, a shape that LG considers ideal for highlighting the colors and the very high contrast ratio. offered by OLED technology. The distinctive element is represented by the mobile cover in Kvadrat fabric that can be controlled via the remote control. When you activate the Line Viewthe coating rises thus reducing the portion of the screen visible: this more essential display mode allows you to consult information such as date, time and use the audio player.

A system is hidden under the fabric grille 4.2 channel audio Compatible with Dolby Atmos and capable of delivering 80 W. As on the C2 and G2 series we find the proprietary OLED evo technology, capable of increasing the luminous efficiency by combining panel improvements and the Alpha 9 Gen5 processor , equipped with algorithms that exploit artificial intelligence to better manage the luminance peaks. Obviously there is no lack of compatibility with HDR in formats HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision and Dolby Vision IQ with Precision Detail, the new improved version introduced by LG in collaboration with Dolby.

The rest of the functions are largely identical to that of the other models not belonging to the lifestyle range. We find therefore AI Sound Pro which upmixes stereo tracks by recreating up to 7.1.2 virtual channels, all the enhancements introduced with the fifth generation of Alpha 9 processors, the dynamic tone mapping to optimize the rendering of HDR content without dynamic metadata and compatibility with WiSA audio systems.

There Smart TV is based on webOS 22, the latest version released this year. There are applications to access the main streaming services, AirPlay 2 And HomeKit, Google Assistant, Alexa and the now inevitable Filmmaker Mode.

We then find 4 HDMI 2.1 inputs compatible with the signals Ultra HD at 120Hz, Auto Low Latency Mode, Variable Refresh Rate and eARC on port number 2. From the product sheet we learn instead that FreeSync, G-SYNG and Dolby Vision for Gaming (in Ultra HD at 120 Hz) seem absent. The list price is set at 5,999 euros

The second series announced is instead an absolute novelty. The Posé LX1 TVs are offered in sizes from 42 “, 48 “ And 55 “. The complete data sheet is not available at the moment but we know that even in this case we are talking about OLED evoso Ultra HD to 100/120 Hz for all sizes. Here, too, the design is the protagonist: we find a soft beige color, minimalist lines and slightly curved edges, solutions designed to seek harmony with the furnishing style of any environment. For this reason the finishes are also treated on the back, so as to allow installation even in less conventional positions.

In the back there seems to be a sort of pocket for storing magazines, for example, thus merging the functions of television and mobile. Then there is a cable management system that hides them from view by apparently channeling them along the floor pedestal, in order to hide them as much as possible. Like Easel you can take advantage of the Gallery mode to view works of art or photographs.

Cathy OhHead of Marketing Communication of LG Home Entertainment Company, said:

The new lifestyle range is able to offer extraordinary viewing experiences and an original and refined design, a milestone we have reached thanks to our leadership in the OLED TV market, the expertise we have developed over the years and that we continue to improve. and thanks to the in-depth knowledge of consumer needs. These particular TVs stand out from traditional TVs thanks to their unmistakable form factor and finishes, meeting the taste of those looking for the value of real innovation.

The availability of LG Objet TVs is scheduled for third quarter of 2022.
