New Toyota Corolla Cross, can now be pre-ordered online in Italy

Toyota kicked off pre-orders in Italy of the new Corolla Cross which was presented for the European market in December 2021. Interested parties can book the new car directly online inside of of the official site of the Japanese car manufacturer. The customer will only have to choose the version and the preferred color by paying a deposit of 250 euros. Those who book this new model online will also receive some exclusive benefits.

We are talking about the possibility of having WeHybrid Insurance, a specific free RCA insurance for one year and access to the WeHybrid Challenge which allows, by driving in electric mode, to accumulate up to 150 euros of credit on the Kinto Go mobility platform.

The choice of the set-up is not binding, it may in fact be changed when ordering the car, while customers who decide not to proceed with the purchase will be able to obtain a refund of the deposit paid. The pre-emption period will end on 21 July.

Prices of the new Japanese SUV? For the moment they have not yet been communicated.

Opening up to the possibility of booking the new Corolla Cross, Toyota also provided more details on the trim levels available for the Italian market. The new SUV can be requested in the Trend and Lounge versions.

The Trend setting offers as standard, among other things, 18-inch alloy wheels, full LED headlights, automatic climate control, latest generation Toyota Safety Sense 3, Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system with 10.5-inch screen, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity , 12.3-inch digital cockpit, electrically operated tailgate and tinted rear windows.

Instead, the Lounge version adds leather and fabric interior with heated seats, Blind Spot Monitor, panoramic roof, JBL hi-fi system and navigation system.

FIFTH GENERATION HYBRID



Recall that this model debuts on new fifth generation hybrid system by Toyota. It is based on the previous version, but guarantees more torque, more power from the electric motor and greater efficiency. The automaker says the new battery system is more powerful and 40% lighter than before. Both the internal combustion engine and the electric one have been improved. Overall, the powertrain delivers 146 kW / 197 hp. Toyota declares an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.1 seconds.

The new Corolla Cross will also be offered with AWD-i all-wheel drive. In this case, we also find an additional 30.6 kW electric motor on the rear axle that comes into operation only to give more traction in conditions of poor grip.
