Yesterday Ray Liotta died in his sleep at the age of 67, an actor who became famous above all for his part in Those good guysMartin Scorsese’s gangster movie from 1990. He was also famous in the world of video games for his work as a voice actor for Tommy Vercetti, the protagonist of Gran Theft Auto: Vice City. Liotta was in the Dominican Republic shooting a movie called Dangerous Waters. At the moment no further details are known about the causes of his death.
Liotta had received a Golden Globe for 1989’s Man of Dreams. He recently starred in an episode of The Simpsons, voicing Morty Szyslak, the father of Moe (Boe in Italian). He also had a role in The Story of a Marriage, with Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson; in 2021 he had participated in The many saints of New Jersey, the prequel film to HBO’s TV series The Sopranos. He was also very active as a producer: at this time he was working on a documentary series called The Five Families, which aims to tell the story of the rise and decline of the five most important Mafia families in New York, namely the Genovese, the Gambino. , the Bonanno, the Colombo and the Lucchese.
His video game career has remained very limited. In addition to GTA Vice City, thanks to which she has also won two awards for acting, she has only participated in one other title, which is Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and in a much smaller role. Liotta had five film projects in the pipeline, two of them with filming already finished. Cocaine Bear is due out next year, inspired by the true story of a bear who ingested a whole bag of cocaine.
